See ancient tombs and plots in Rumipamba Archaeological Museum and Tulipe valley until it is time to return to Quito.Start the day with a pickup from your Quito accommodations at approximately 8:00am. From there, head to your first destination, the Rumipamba Archaeological Museum. There, you will see examples of Quitu culture, and even more ancient relics from pre-Incan history. Observe the villages and homes made of mud and thatch, while surrounded by stone walls. Then, pay a visit to the La Florida Museum where you will see tombs found 15 meters below depth.
Take a break for lunch before heading to the Tulipe valley, where you will attend a local museum. It is located 70 kilometers northwest of Quito and was an important ceremonial seat of Yumbo people. The ceremonial center consists of eight sunken stone structures linked to water supply, used to perform purification rites, worship of cosmic gods, star gazing, and to calculate time. During the visit, you can walk by the pools and marvel at the Tulipe temple. Once your tour comes to an end, return to your Quito accommodations.
