Spend the day exploring Woodstock’s pop-up shops, food stalls and creative spaces on this private day trip from Cape Town. With your very own guide, drink in the coastal and city sights as you journey by minivan from your hotel to the rejuvenated suburb. Find yourself mingling with photographers, film directors and artists at the Woodstock Exchange and the trendy Old Biscuit Mill. Wander around the shops in Bromwell Boutique Mall and Woodstock Co-Op. Then, visit the bronze casting studios and Tribe Coffee Roasting in Woodstock Foundry for bronze-casting and coffee-roasting demonstrations.
Meet your private guide at your central Cape Town hotel, and then hop aboard an air-conditioned minivan and travel to Woodstock, a former industrial district that has recently seen a surge of trendy restaurants and shops popping up in its old warehouses and abandoned buildings.

Make your first stop at the Woodstock Exchange, a creative hub where you’ll find photographers, designers, illustrators, film directors, artists and traders working alongside one another. Soak up the inspirational atmosphere as you explore with your guide, and visit a renowned shoe store to see how these local shoemakers craft each pair by hand.

Continue on to Bromwell Boutique Mall. Wander around the 16 pop-up stores and perhaps purchase limited-edition clothing and accessories, as well as one-off pieces of art, sculpture, furnishings and jewelry.

Next, head to the Old Biscuit Mill, a bustling village in the heart of Woodstock that is home to day and night markets, dynamic workspaces, boutique stores, world-class restaurants and some of the country’s most talented designers, artists and photographers. With your guide, peruse the stalls crammed with gourmet food and maybe step into some of the art galleries or shops.

Then, dependent on timing, visit the Woodstock Co-Op, where entrepreneurs peddle innovative products and services in fashion, design, furniture and the artistic fields. You might also visit Delos, a leading antique lighting and furniture showroom in a converted church, to see one of the largest collections of original antiques in South Africa.

Your final stop is the Woodstock Foundry, a complex of studios specializing in bronze casting. Tour the galleries with your guide and marvel at the wall-mounted work, sculptures, and unique pieces of furniture and art. At Tribe Coffee Roasting enjoy a coffee-roasting demonstration and a light lunch (own expense).

Finish with a bronze-casting demonstration before returning to your hotel.

Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.
