Finally you will continue to the Forbidden City whcih was once the Chinese Imperial Palace of the Ming Dynasty, and for more than 500 years it was home to some 24 Emperors. Taking about 14 years to build, construction was complete in 1420. As the city was a sacred place which completely forbid any civilians to enter, it was enclosed by a 10m high wall, complete with a watch tower at each corner, and was heavily guarded in its time.
