Embark on a journey and tour the port town of Mangalore by the Arabian Sea. See sights such as Shree Gokarnanatheshwara Temple, Kadri Manjunatha Temple, and the St. Aloysius chapel over the course of 8-hours. Accompanied by a private guide, enjoy round-trip pick up and drop-off from your Mangalore hotel or the cruise port.
Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel or the cruise port at 9am, then depart for the Cashew Factory. Upon your arrival, you will be taken on a small tour of the factory where you will observe cashew processing and packing. Afterwards, head to the Shree Gokarnanatheshwara Temple in the Kudroli area, consecrated by Narayana Guru. Next, make your way to St. Aloysius chapel, the Christian chapel situated in the heart of the Mangalore city. Observe the Kadri Manjunatha Temple, originally created by Vajrayana Buddhist but later, due to fall of Buddhism, was converted for the deity Manjunatha by Hindus.
Around 12:30pm, you will break for lunch at local restaurant, then an hour later, visit the Artisan Village Pilikula. There, you will see pottery making as well as bamboo and cane products. Afterwards, head to the rice processing to see traditional rice being produced and the oil processing unit. Continue touring this craft-based town and learn of the blacksmith trade on top of the carpentry and fabric weaving trade. Once your tour has come to an end, return to your accommodations.
