You will be picked up from hotel lobby at 8 am and leave for Mamallapuram. Your first stop will be the Five Rathas rock-cut temples, monolithic temples, then a visit to Arjuna's Penance - the world's largest bas-relief and the pride of Mamallapuram. This huge whale-shaped rock contains figures of gods, demigods, men, beasts, and birds and in fact, can be said to represent creation.
After sightseeing at 12:30 pm, you will have a break for lunch at a restaurant of your choice (own expense. After lunch, around 1 pm, you will proceed to Mahishasuramardhini mandapa (also known as the Cave Temple or Yampuri), followed by Krishna butter ball Situated on a hill slope near the Ganesh Ratha. This precarious boulder is surrounded by lush, calming greenery.
At around 5:30 pm your tour will end and you can sit back and relax on the drive back to your hotel in Chennai.
