Discover the historical city of Kochi. Visit the churches, synagogues and museums in the city. Kochi is situated off the coast of India, with beautiful blue waters of the Arabian Sea and Kerala’s emerald backwaters on either side. Kochi's rich medley of Indian and foreign architecture makes it a favorite tourist spot. Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Kochi or Ernakulam by 9:30 am and proceed for this half-day Kochi city tour.
Your first stop will take you to the Jewish Synagogue- the oldest synagogue in India built in 1568. The synagogue is decorated with Chinese tiles and Belgian chandeliers. (Closed on Friday & Saturday only outside view on these two day). Next, you will visit St. Francis Church- first European church of India, and then the Dutch Palace(Closed on Fridays).
You will proceed to tour the Indo-Portuguese Museum- established by Dr. Joseph Kureethra to protect the rich heritage of Portuguese influence on the city, and then the famous Chinese Fishing Nets- set up on teak wood and bamboo poles, these fishing nets has its origin in China.
After completing your city tour, your driver will take you to a popular local restaurant to enjoy South Indian style lunch. After lunch around 2 pm, you will be taken back to your hotel.
