Then you will head onto the “Carlo and Vera Wagner” Museum of the Jewish Community in which many objects of Jewish ritual art are on display along with documents and books which testify to the life of the Jews in Trieste. These artifacts are indeed one of the most important heritages of the Jews in Italy.

When the visit has finished, you proceed on foot down San Nicolò where you can still find the Antique Bookshop which used to be run by Umberto Saba and still has many rare and precious volumes on display. Walk by the historical Pasticceria, “La Bomboniera” founded by a Hunarian Jewish family. The tour will end at the Synagogue of Trieste, a magnificent building which dates back to the beginning of the 19th century and still has importance in Europe today.
