On this private tour of the Aswan region, explore at the High Dam, marvel at the Unfinished Obelisk, and experience the allure of the Temple of Philae, all as you soak up the beauty of the Nile River Valley.
After our representative pick you up from your hotel in Aswan, your tour will begin with a trip to the Aswan High Dam. Although the Dam was constructed several millennia after the majority of Egypt's iconic landmarks, it is an equally impressive engineering miracle.
You will then continue to the Unfinished Obelisk. The structure has remained at the site ever since a crack was discovered in it as it was hewn from the rock. Historians believe that the obelisk was intended as a compantion to the Lateran Obelisk that once stood at Karnak. If completed, the Unfinished Obelisk would have been the largest piece of stone ever handled. On your last stop, you will visit the beautiful Temple of Philae, widely regarded as the prettiest temple in all of Egypt. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis and stands on its own island in the Nile. Your tour ends with a transfer to your hotel in Aswan.
