After being collected from your hotel you will drive to Uçhisar Castle, here you can climb inside of the old castle to the top where you will have a wonderful view of the region and Pigeon Valley lying below. Here you will also be given all the information about the Cappadocia region.
From here to tour continues to the widest underground city in Cappadocia, Kaymaklı. Kaymakli Underground City was once inhabited by entire communites when escaping the enemy, here you can see great examples of the numerous halls, churches and cellars. Afterwards you will enjoy your lunch on the return to the Goreme area.
The afternoon starts with a visit to the UNESCO Göreme Open Air Museum where you will walk around the many rock churches of Old Göreme. The open air museum houses some of the best preserved Christian frescoes from the 10th through to the 13th centuries.
From here the tour drives to Avanos, famous for Hittite Pottery before continuing through Devrent valley and Paşabağ, where you will see variations of rock formations with the likes of mushrooms and a camel.
Before being returned to your hotel you will have the opportunity to taste some of Cappadocia’s local wines in Ürgüp.
