The Museum of History, hosted by the Sutu Palace, is a neoclassical building dating back to 1834. Two of the most important artefacts of the museum are the document attesting the existence of Bucharest, issued by Vlad Tepes in 1459, and a sword that belonged to Prince Constantin Brancoveanu, promoter of the well-known Brancovenesc style – a harmonious blend of Romanian, Byzantine and Western architecture.
