Spend a little time shopping in the local Agra markets before returning to your hotel or the railway station.At 8am, you will be picked up from your hotel or the Agra Cantt Railway Station (AGC) by a representative. After warm welcome, board your private air-conditioned vehicle and begin your adventure with tour of the world famous Taj Mahal. Once the clock strikes 11:30am, make your way to the Imposing Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D, this huge fort is made of red sandstone. The maze of the courtyards, mosques & private chambers of the fort echo the story of the Mughal Empire.
Take a break for lunch at 1pm at one of the best local restaurants, suggested by your guide.
Finish lunch by 2:30pm so you may begin the 1-hour drive to Fatehpur Sikri. It has been described as “the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town”. Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was abandoned after only 14 years, and the elegant buildings of this superb walled city remain intact to this day.
At approximately 6pm, enjoy shopping in Agra, which happens to be known for its fabulous handicrafts. Major handicraft products besides inlay work include leatherware, brassware, carpets, jewellery and embroidery work.
After a memorable day, transfer back to your hotel or railway station at 8pm.
