This full day tour will cover the biggest wine region in South Africa known as the "Cape Winelands" 45 minutes drive outside the city of Cape Town.. Not only will you experience some of the best wines we have - you will sample about 16 different wines and even cheese and wine pairing- but you will also experience spectacular mountain drives with awesome viewpoints along the way. Beautiful original architectural styles of Cape Dutch, Victorian and Georgian are some of the things to be seen in the picturesque valleys.. The regions of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl will be visited before drop off at 17h00.

Pick up at your Cruise Liner at 08h30 and we drive to Stellenbosch for a city- and university drive before we stop for the first tasting. The first 5 wines will be tasted at one of the oldest vineyards in South Africa and also at the place where the first pinotage was bottled. Pinotage is a South African Vine, developed after cross pollination of Pinot Noir and Hermitage grapes.
We carry on with our tour in the direction of Franschhoek, known as the gourmet capital of South Africa. We stop in the mountains where spectacular views can be captured but we also sample the next 5 or 6 wines of a world renown vineyard. Lunch stop (own account) will be on a wine estate where you will have awesome views of the valley below.
After lunch we drive to the Paarl region but we stop on the way to take pictures of the prison gate and the statue of Nelson Mandela (if you wish).A Main Street architectural drive in Paarl follows and the next tasting will be a choice of chocolate and wine pairing or cheese and wine pairing. We continue our circular tour as we drive back to Cape Town Port for drop off at 17h00.
