The beauty of Peterhof rivals the one of French Versailles and in our opinion far exceeds it.
The Grand Palace at Peterhof was designed to be the centrepiece of Peter the Great's "Russian Versailles".
Inside, the Grand Palace is considerably more lavish, and the fact that the interiors had to be almost entirely reconstructed after World War Two does nothing to distract from their grandeur.

After the palace tour you will proceed to explore amazing Lower Gardens with numerous fountains, and if you are lucky, you will witness the ceremony of turning the fountains on.

After the park, proceed to Raketa Watch Factory, which is only 10 minutes away from the Imperial residence.
Factory Tour Duration: 1 hour
The Petrodvorets Watch Factory «Raketa», Russia’s oldest factory, was founded by Peter the Great in 1721. The Factory is producing watches under the brand “Pobeda” (Victory) since the End of World War II and since 1961 under the brand “Raketa” in honour of Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. The reorganization of the factory started in 2009 with the help of Russian and Swiss engineers. One of them is an ex-Rolex production director. The Petrodvorets Watch Factory is one of the rare watch factories in the world that fully manufactures its own movements from A to Z, including hairspring and escapement. Russian watches “Raketa” are available in the best shops in Russia, such as GUM и TSUM in Moscow or Status and Babochka in Saint-Petersburg and in many other shops.
