Your professional guide will meet you at the cruise port and your adventure starts. The first stop at French concession with a visit to the most lavish and lovely park - Fuxing Park which still keeps French style gardens, remnants of its colonial past with a monument to Marx and Engels. You will find the local people's daily activities such as ballroom dancing, group singing, and water brush calligraphy here. If you like dancing, you are welcome to dance with the locals. Then walk along the beautiful French concession area - the hottest and hippest neighborhood. You will see this area is in between new and old. This is an absolutely unique urban experience.
Next to one of the most famous and popular Buddhist temple-Jade Buddha temple where you will admire the two intricate famous Buddha. They were carved out of the single piece of Jade from Burma and learn Chinese religious culture.
Then, you will head to the "heart" of Shanghai - People’s square area. Passing by the park you will see people playing Mahjong or poker, practicing martial arts, and etc.. Every weekends, many local parents come to look for a best matched boyfriend or girlfriend for their son or daughter who is single. It's interesting to see how current marriage situation in the big cities such as Shanghai. (The market is only on weekends and if it's raining,it will be canceled and you can choose to visit famous Shanghai museum or Shanghai Urban Planning museum based on your interests).

Pay a visit to the 500 year old traditional Chinese garden-Yu garden ,admiring its beautiful architecture, old rockeries, ponds, pavilion. Next to the top attraction the Bund where is well known as the free museum of the architecture. Along its west bank of the river, there are 26 different architectural styles, and people named it “lover’s wall”. Scrolling along the Bund, you can enjoy the splendid view of the city and learn the its colonial history back to 1840’s.
The last stop will be local trendy area -Xintian Di, an old area rebuilt with original bricks and typical Shanghai “Shikumen” house which was the popular home for an up-middle class family back to 1920-1930’s. Nowadays, it’s full of pubs, coffee shops and restaurants where you can sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee or drinks. It's a wonderful place to watch the world go by. At the end ,you will be either transferred back to cruise port or hotel (upon your requests)
