The tour departs from Roedseter Inn (locally known as Oeygard) in Fjaerland at 8:00am, only 30 meters above sea level. It starts with a 3 hour steep hike up the mountain, to the glacier cabins Flatbrehytta at 1000 meters above sea. By the cabins there will be a chance to catch a breath and have a snack before getting into the glacier walking equipment, and heading out on the ice towards Myrhaugsnipa on the other side. The top of Myrhaugsnipa is at an additional 443 meters altitude. At the top there will be a lunch break, while enjoying the spectacular view. Heading back you will reach the cabins again around 5 hours after you left them, pack up the equipment and head back down the mountain. You will be back at the farm around 6pm.
