Prepare and enjoy a meal while learning about Indian culture and cuisine.Meet Shveta and Kul with their warm welcome into their contemporary home filled with beautiful sounds of Indian music. After your welcome drink of nimbu pani or jal jeera (a savory drink of mint, lemon, and cumin), join Shveta in the kitchen to learn to prepare a traditional North Indian meal. Shveta will teach you to prepare about 4-6 dishes that you will help her make such as aloo gobhi (cauliflower and potatoes), chicken curry, daal and and an Indian bread. After your cooking lesson, join your hosts at their dining table to enjoy the meal that you helped to prepare. In addition to the dishes you cooked you might enjoy aloo tikki (potato kebab), pakora (fried vegetables in chickpea batter), rajma (kidney beans), chick pea masala, salad, jeera rice (cumin scented rice) and dessert. Some of the dishes might include organic vegetables Shveta grows on her rooftop. Leave with new recipes, new friends, and lifelong memories.

Note that Shveta runs a homestay out of her house so while other guests might be present during your visit, your cooking lesson and meal will be private.

In addition, please note, this experience is not a professional cooking class or tour, rather it is meant to be a visit into an authentic, local home to meet a local person and share the culture and cuisine together.
