Your approximately 60-minute private hot air balloon flight starts with your choice of an early morning or late afternoon departure outside of Sacramento. After arriving at the facility for a brief safety orientation and overview of your flight, you will join your crew at the launch point as your FAA certified pilot begins to fill your balloon with hot air. You will climb into the basket and begin to float gently into the air, rising several hundred feet as the landscape opens up before you. Bring a camera because you will want to capture the moment when you first catch sight of the granite peaks of the High Sierras to the east and the less severe coastal mountains off to the west. Both the morning and evening quiet offers a truly unique opportunity to capture the view in that special light only available for a few minutes every day . After floating with the wind anywhere from 2-8 miles, your pilot will slowly descend back to earth where you will be met by the rest of the crew to disembark to return to your starting location.
