Enjoy a delicious private home dinner with local chef Simon where love for cooking and entertaining will be incorporated into the meal. His partner is a wine expert and will be pairing delicious wine with every dish. The menu for the evening will depend on the season for the best ingredients and experience. While there, soak in the experience of the beautiful and chique Oud-Zuid neighborhood.You will be welcomed by local host and home chef Simon and his partner (a wine expert) in the chique Amsterdam neighborhood called Oud Zuid. Simon loves to have friends over to enjoy his home and his food. He cooks all kinds of things and he has a passion for Indian food, traditional Dutch recipes and modern cuisine.
The menu you will be served always depends on the season. It might be a winter warming "Boerenkool and worst" or Australian homemade meat pie. At spring time you could enjoy the local flavor of white asparagus done the Flemish way, or maybe you will taste the summer freshness with Simon's special ceviche. Simon's personal favorite season for cooking is always Autumn.
Every dinner will consist of 3 to 4 courses, and can adapt to specific food allergies and/or needs (please place these in the Special Requirements field when booking).
The wine expert in the house is Simon's partner and you can taste his unique wine pairings during the dinner. FYI, there is also a small dog (Dacshund/Teckel) named Klaartje living at the house (if you have any allergies or dislike dogs). She is always happy and welcoming to everyone who walks through the door.
