Visit a local home and enjoy a private cooking lesson in her home kitchen. Your warm and friendly host will introduce you to some of her favorite Thai dishes and teach you how to prepare a traditional meal. Enjoy a lunch or dinner at the family table as you exchange stories and get to know each other. You'll leave your experience with new cooking skills, recipes and a new friend in Bangkok!Meet Tang at a centrally located BTS station and walk to her spacious family home located in Krung Thonburi, deep within a maze of narrow lanes which are typical in this part of the city.

Tang and her family will warmly welcome you into their home for your cooking lesson and an authentic Thai meal (either lunch or dinner). Tang’s love of cooking began at 7 years old when her grandmother needed a hand to help prepare the family’s daily meals. In the kitchen you will learn to chop, pound and grind your way to a traditional Thai meal. Tang will teach you to prepare two to three dishes during your hands-on lesson.

Her specialties include the classic Isaan dish, larb (minced chicken or pork flavored with lime juice, dill, coriander, mint, chili, and other fresh herbs picked in her garden), tom ka gai (a delicious chicken soup simmered in coconut milk with mushrooms, galangal and lemongrass), kai giaw gung (Thai-style egg omelet with fresh shrimp), pad Thai (perhaps Thailand's most famous dish of stir fried rice noodles with fresh prawns in sweet-sour tamarind sauce), gai pad med ma muuang (stir fried chicken with cashew nuts), panaeng gai (chicken simmered in panaeng curry sauce), and gai thood ta khrai (fried chicken wings with fragrant fried lemongrass). Enjoy your delicious meal with your hosts.

Leave with new recipes, new friends, and lifelong memories.

Please note, this is not a professional cooking class, rather this experience is a visit into an authentic, local home to meet a local person and share the culture and cuisine together.
