Various hiking routes are offered and tailored to the clients' fitness level and preferences. Some of the hiking options include:
Western Table to Maclears Beacon: An experienced guide will meet the guests at their accommodation and drive to the Cableway station. From here, we take the cable car up to the top and walk to Maclear's Beacon, the highest point of Table Mountain. This is an easy 2 hours return walk giving our guests the opportunity to enjoy a 360 degree view of Cape Town, False Bay, the Atlantic Ocean and Lion's Head. This can take up to 60 people at a time and does a full rotation enabling guests to enjoy 360 degree views of Cape Town, Lions Head and the Mountain itself. This is a pleasant walk across the flat-topped table plateau overlooking the city and passes through some marshy frog breeding areas with interesting vegetation. We also take the cable car down after the walk.
Twelve Apostles to the Table Mountain Plateau: We meet guests at their accommodation early in the morning to start the hike up to the top with a scenic walk on the Pipe Track. This track offers scenic views of Camps Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Kasteelspoort is where we hike up to about 720m above sea level from where climbers are rewarded with views of the Twelve Apostels. Enjoy a picnic lunch down into the Valley of the Red Gods and the Valley of Isolation. We proceed to the cable car and if you feel like it, we can make a detour to Maclear's Beacon crossing through Echo Valley. This option will take about 5 hours.
