This is a private tour dedicated for the Egyptian museum and its contents. The Egyptian Museum is situated in the worldwide known Tahrir square where two revolutions took place (2011 and 2013).Your private, qualified Egyptologist will pick you up from your hotel at 9am in your private, modern a/c van (WiFi on board) to start your tour to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. It has the biggest collection of Egyptian artifacts in the world (about 136,000 pieces). It was inaugurated in 1902 and designed in the Neo-classic style by the French architect Marcel Dourignon.
In the museum you will see the animal mummy room, the Old Kingdom rooms, the Middle Kingdom room and the New Kingdom room. Marvel at the Sphinxes of Tanis and explore the room of Akhenaten. See the mummy portraits, and if you like, the Royal Mummy rooms (extra fee). Not to be missed is the collection of King Tutankhamun's jewelry. At the end of the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel
