Meet your tour guide at your per-arranged time and place, probably your hotel. Together you'll transfer to the train station in Lucerne. The local train will take you within 45 minutes to Engelberg, the village which is known for winter sports. Your tour guide will lead you to the station of the Titlis gondola,
To climb uphill, you'll board the 4-seat-gondola first. During the next 20 minutes, you're gliding over trees and rocks. At the first stop, you'll change onto the 80-passenger gondola. The next section is very short, after 5 minutes your tour guide will look for some window seats at the rotating gondola! During the climb to the peak, the cabin of the gondola rotates permanently, so that you can a 180 degrees-view without changing position.
After arrival at Mount Titlis, the tour guide will suggest to visit the viewing platform and to make the experience with the all-year-snow on top, 9,980 ft (3041m) above sea level. After you enjoyed the stunning view to mountains, glaciers and lakes, you'll move over to cross the highest suspension bridge in Europe. To cross the bridge, 1,640 ft (500m) off the ground, you'll need nerves as strong as steel cables! At the end of the bridge, the tour guide will lead you through a tunnel back to the main building, where you'll visit the "Ice cave", a system of tunnels in the middle of the glacier.
After lunch it's up to you, either you enjoy the silence on the terrace and have a look over the mountain peaks, or you prefer to have some action at the snow park. You may rent a snow tube to slide down on a specific path on the glacier. There are several other attractions at the snow park.
Whenever you have seen all the attractions, visited the special photo studio on top, took the pictures from this fascinating glacier world, your tour guide will lead the gondola to descent to Engelberg. At Engelberg you'll change onto the local train to Lucerne, where the tour ends.
