Finish at Djemma el-Fna, with its snake charmers, musicians and markets stalls. The Marrakech City Tour is arranged with a local, English-speaking tour guide who will meet you at your hotel/riad accommodation at 9am, when your exploration of Marrakech begins!
Your first stop is the Medersa ben Youssef, a magnificent example of Moorish architecture and the largest Koranic school in all of Morocco. Continuing through the labyrinth of the medina, you will arrive Bahia Palace - with its beautiful ceilings and patios and the Saadian tombs - famous for beautiful and intricate decoration. You will then head to discover the Kasbah district, including its popular square of tinsmiths.
Following the Kasbah district, a delightful Moroccan lunch will be served in a medina restaurant.
After lunch, the tour continues with a walk through the Jewish quarter of the medina and the Koutoubia mosque. The tour ends in perhaps the most famous area of Marrakech - Jemaa el Fna square, a UNESCO site and one of the most famous city squares in the world. As you wander from vendor to vendor with your guide, you will see story tellers, snake charmers, musicians, dancers and more. In the afternoon, the square fills with food stalls offering a variety of Moroccan foods and sweets. A Jemaa el Fna tradition is sunset tea on one of the nearby cafe terraces - we encourage you not to miss it!
