Experience Rainbow Mountain, a mountain striped with intense turquoise, rust red and golden yellow. Depart early in the morning to take the Ausangate Trek, one of the most renowned treks in Peru. This full-day hike may not be easy, but the views will amaze you.Be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at 2:30am for the 3-hour drive to Huambo, where you will enjoy a box breakfast before beginning your hike.
It will take you approximately 3 hours to make it to the top of the Colorado Mountain. Once at the top, enjoy the incredible panoramic views and take pictures for approximately 30 minutes.
The Rainbow Mountain, with its stripes of turquoise, red and gold, spread out in front of you is truly a sight to behold. The trek back down the mountain will only take you about 2 hours and your vehicle will be waiting to transport you back to Cusco.
