Visit Cajon del Maipo and its intriguing Embalse El Yeso, a water reserve with an extension of more than 253 million cubic meters. The tour consists of proceeding 100 kilometers from Santiago with our private transfer, towards the Andes and Cajon del Maipo, where a walking  activity will take place in visiting the water reserve area. In addition, you will be enjoying a picnic in the surroundings of the reserve.Start the day with a hotel pick-up by private vehicle at 8am. You will drive 62 mi (100 km) towards the Andes mountain range and Cajon del Maipo; Maipo Valley. This valley is enriched by the river of the same name and  is famous for a considerable amount of wine producing. After ascending by vehicle to more than 8,202 ft (2,500 m) to reach Embalse El Yeso Reservoir, participate in a walking activity to explore this beautiful area in more depth. This Reservoir was formed by the damming of Yeso River, making it a major reserve for Santiago´s fresh water. Take in the amazing scenic views and enjoy a nice picnic in the surroundings of the reservoir. You can enjoy an optional visit to taste the local "Empanadas" (Chilean pies) at your own expense. After the tour, you will return to your hotel.
