See some of Delhi’s top attractions and learn about its dynamic culture with an expert local guide on this full-day private tour. With your guide, visit two masterpieces of architecture in Delhi – beautiful Bahai Temple (known as the Lotus Temple because of its flowerlike exterior) and the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Qutub Minar. Then witness India’s exquisite artistry and discover its interesting cuisine while strolling around Dilli Haat, a vibrant food and crafts bazaar.
Your private sightseeing tour of Delhi starts as you are picked up from your hotel by your guide and driven to Bahai Temple, commonly referred to as the Lotus Temple for its stunning shape that looks like an unfurling white lotus. Admire its renowned architectural design, and then enter the temple and learn about its history from your expert guide as you enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, inviting people of all religions to worship.

Afterward, make your way to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Qutub Minar, which boasts the tallest minaret (a tall spire common on Islamic mosques) in India, standing at 238 feet (73 meters). Walk around the complex with your guide and encounter folk curiosities along the way, like a mystic with a pet parrot eagerly waiting to predict your future (gratuities at your own expense).

Next you’re off to colorful Dilli Haat, an open-air Indian crafts and food bazaar offering a large variety of handmade goods, fabrics and tasty treats that promote many of India’s cultural traditions. For lunch, enjoy food from any one of the permanent food stalls. Then, explore the market, maneuvering with ease through the stalls and communicating effortlessly with vendors with the help of your guide. Admire (and purchase if you wish) local handicrafts like ornaments, camel-skin footwear, sandalwood and rosewood carvings, gems and a whole lot more.

On the drive back to your hotel, pass by some of Delhi’s well-known attractions, such as India Gate, built in memory of soldiers who lost their lives in World War I; the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President House), the official residence of the President of India; and the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Humayun’s Tomb, the tomb of Mughal Emperor Humayun. If you wish, ask your guide to stop at any of these places for a photo opportunity.

Before you are dropped off at your hotel, you’ll receive your complimentary souvenir! Females will receive a beautiful mehndi (henna tattoo) drawn on their hands, and males will get a pugree (traditional Indian turban) wrapped around their heads.
