Cycling and trekking day trip in Chiang Mai countryside is great for individuals who have a passion for outdoor activities and who truly want to experience the Thai culture first hand. Explore the paddy fields, waterfalls, lush farmland, waterways and local villages. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant and trek in an area of stunning natural scenery, nestled in the mountains.We will pick you up at your hotel lobby in Chiang Mai city area around 8am (we can arrange a pickup time suitable for you), then head to our cycling start point at a local market in Mae Wang. The drive takes about 1 hour.
Our professional English speaking guide will show you around the village and share some local traditions. We will cycle for about 2-hour and enjoy the scenic views along the way. You will explore an ancient local temples, see lush fruits farms, abundant paddy fields and enchanting waterfalls.
We will stop for a lunch break at a local Thai restaurant. After lunch, we drive to a trekking start point in the mountains. We trek through a lush rain forest and stop at a beautiful waterfall, here you can kick off your shoes, relax and enjoy the nature in peace.
We will then make a stop at Karen Village and our guide will share some history about their daily lifestyle with you. We hike in the paddies surrounding the village, and you can learn some hands-on experience such as planting and harvesting the rice (depending on the season).
After the tour, our driver will drive you back to your accommodation safely with an unforgettable experience in Northern Thailand.
