In this private tour you will have the opportunity to explore the oldest capital of ancient Egypt, Memphis and its most important cemeteries, pyramid sites which are Giza and Saqqara.In this full day tour you will visit the oldest capital in the ancient history of Egypt (3200 B.C.) Memphis, now Memphis is called Mit Rahina and it is a small village. There you will visit its museum that has , among other artifacts, a colossal statue of king Ramesses II (33ft or 10.5m) originally (40ft or 13m), it is made of limestone, you will also wonder at the huge alabaster sphinx which is the biggest piece of alabaster ever discovered in Egypt, it weighs about 80 tons and it dates back to the time of the New Kingdom (about 1400 B.C.).
Then you will move to Saqqara to visit the oldest complete building of stone in history which is the Step Pyramid of king Zoser (2700 B.C.). The Step Pyramid is considered a transition between the mastaba (the first form of royal tombs made of mud brick) and the true pyramid. After exploring the Step Pyramid complex you will walk through the causeway of the complex of king Unas (about 2300 B.C.) with the remains of its paintings and reliefs, then you will explore the interior of the pyramid of king Teti and get amazed at the Pyramid Texts (the oldest religious texts in history), you will travel through history as you go inside the tomb of Kagemni who was a nobleman that lived 2300 B.C.
After that you will have lunch in a local restaurant.
Then you will move to the highlight of the day on the plateau of Giza as you will visit the Great Pyramid of King Cheops (2500 B.C.) the only remaining wonder of the seven wonders of the ancient world and then you will move to the panorama; the highest point of the plateau where you can take great pictures and start your camel ride around the pyramids as you can see the pyramids of Cheops and those of his son Chephren and his grandson Mycerinus, you can also see the little Queens' pyramids.
Then you will move down the plateau to visit the Valley Temple of King Chephren and the Great Sphinx.
You can also enjoy the sound and light show in the evening by the Sphinx (if option selected).
At the end of the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.
