Your driver will pick you up in your place around 7:00am, and then take you to famous ChengDe Mountain Resort (3 hours driving time) On the way, you can take a nap in air conditioning comfortable car, or enjoy the scenery along the way.
After arriving Chengde Mountain Resort (around 10:00am), you can visit the emperor's garden first (2 hours). It's the emperor's Summer Palace of the Qing Dynasty. It's the largest imperial garden in China (double size of Beijing’s Summer Palace), construction spanned nearly ninety years (beginning under Emperor Kangxi in 1703 and lasting through the greater part of Emperor Qianlong’s reign). The Imperial Summer Villa often used as a de facto second capital as Kangxi set a precedent followed by a succession of other Qing emperors. In 1994, the Imperial Summer Villa became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After simple lunch, you will start the returning route to Beijing (at 1:30pm). After 90 minutes driving, you will arrive at Jinshanling Great Wall, which is the best preserved part of the Great Wall with many original features. It starts from the Wangjinglou Tower in the east and ends at Longyukou in the west and stretches about 10 kilometers (6 miles). You will spend about 1.5 hours on the Wall.
At 4:30pm, you will leave the Wall to Beijing. Around 6:30pm, you will arrive your hotel in Beijing (subject to the traffic condition).
