During this tour, you will visit Huxian County to enjoy the colorful and marvelous Peasant Paintings. Huanxian county is located 40 km (about 25 miles) southwest of Xi’an City, costing about an hour's drive from Xi'an. It was called the County of Painting by Chinese Ministry of Culture in 1988. It boasts splendid landscapes and a long history. Now, Huxian County is also renowned as one of the most famous counties of Peasant Painting in China. You will surely have a wonderful day here!In the morning, your English-speaking guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and then transfer you to visit the Donghan Village in Huanxian County, Xi’an City. It may take about an hour on the way. Upon arrival, you get to enjoy many exquisite Peasant Paintings. Then you will learn to do a Peasant Painting and paper-cutting. Later, take a cooking class to learn how to make dumplings and noodles. Lunch will be arranged at a local family so that you can experience more of the local life. At the end of the tour, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel in Xi'an.
