Leshan Giant Buddha is the biggest Buddha statue in the world which is regarded as the Buddha on a hill. At 8:00am, you will be picked up at your hotel lobby and drive to Leshan which is about 2.5 hours drive (around 68 miles/110 kilometers) away from Chengdu to visit the Giant Buddha. Leshan Giant Buddha is the Largest carved Buddha statue in the world. Sitting at the confluence of three rivers, the Buddha was carved on the cliff of Lingyun Mountain in Leshan area. Furthermore, you could enjoy amazing view of this huge statue as you walking down through the narrow staircases to the foot of the Buddha. Moreover, you may take a local cruise at your own expense to see the front side of the Giant Buddha or simply hike around it and explore the statue from head to toes. The feet of the Giant Buddha could accommodate 25 people standing alongside with each other. It takes about 35 minutes to hike from its head to torso and another 35 minutes from its waist to feet.
