On this private 9-hour tour, you will visit the seaside resorts and cities of Viña del Mar, Concon, and Valparaiso, as well as participate in a small-group surfing class instructed by a local surfing school. Hotel pickup and drop-off and lunch are included.You'll begin your day with a pickup from your hotel at approximately 8:30am. Sit back and relax while you enjoy your 77-mile (125-km) drive to the coastal destination in your private vehicle, with your first stop being in Concon. Upon arrival, Walk up the beautiful Sand Dunes of Concon to the scenic viewpoint over the three most important coastal cities of the V region.
After your visit to the dunes, you will take part in a surfing class at Concon Beach for approximately 1.5 hours. The class includes a warm up exercise and in-land practice for 30 minutes as well as in-water practice for 1-hour. This class is available for basic and intermediate levels, and the class size is small for a more personalized experience. Instruction will be led by a local surf school in Spanish or English according to the particular day´s availability. In case the class is given in Spanish, your guide will provide translation of the entire class. After finishing the activity, you will continue your tour when you return to the road to travel about 8 miles (13 km) down the coastline to visit Viña del Mar and its famous Flower Clock, as well as Viña del Mar Casino - the first casino in Chile. Next, proceed another 8 miles more to the next stop of the tour, Valparaiso, where your group will enjoy a typical Chilean lunch at a local restaurant (meal included). Afterwards, you will visit Plaza Sotomayor and the renowned Valparaiso port, where your guide will explain the history and importance of this old merchant town.
You will finish the tour with a visit to Paseo 21 Mayo Street located in one of the Valparaiso's famous hills, which is accessible by vehicle or by funicular train; a typical medium of transport to the city. There, you may find traditional Chilean handcrafts as well as a spectacular viewpoint over the UNESCO World Heritage city and its distinctive port.
