Enjoy this leisure cycling trip on dirt roads to Khmu Village (about 7 km). On red-soil dirt road, pass by small forests, rustic village with wooden houses. You can stop to take beautiful photos of the local children and hard-working farmers in the field. On arrival at a Khmu family, you can participate their daily lives including cooking some Lao foods. Khmu is one of three biggest ethnic groups in Laos and your guide will introduce you some history and traditions of Khmu people.
In the afternoon, cycle to Ban Chan Village, famous for pottery and bricks as well as terracotta tiles. Try your hand at making a pottery item if you are interested and bring it back as a souvenir. Cycling back to the bank of Mekong River and visit the charming Wat Long Khun Temple, quietly located among bougainvillea and Palmyra palms. Used to be a royal retreat center for spiritual revitalization, the wat is attractively sited on a 1.5 hectare flat area at the top of a long stairway. Afterwards cycle cross the Mekong River by ferry and then cycle back to your hotel. End of services.
