Your first stop will be at Yuyuan Garden, the most revered green space in Shanghai during the 16 century. It is also known as the Mountains and Forest within the City. You will find ornate structures, famous Dragon Walls and other interesting scenic spots there. Outside of Yuyuan Garden, there is a bazaar where you can explore many traditional Chinese handicrafts, art works and also local flavor food there.
Then, you will visit The Bund where is the best place to view Pudong and Puxi. Along the embankment of Zhongshan Road and Huangpu River, there are various architectural styles such as Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque to Classicism, and etc. You will see the the famous Peace Hotel, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Three on the Bund, Bund 18 these building there. After visiting The Bund area, you will go to Nanjing Road, the main shopping street of Shanghai, and it is one of the world's busiest shopping streets. For lunch, you will enjoy Shanghai Benbang dishes in a very nice local restaurant which is recommended by the tour guide. You can try the famous steamed dumplings if you like.
In the afternoon, you will go to The French Concession where is centered on Huaihai Road and Nanjing Road. It is a very beautiful district full of tree-lined avenues, little boutiques, great bars and restaurants. In addition, you can choose to visit Soong Qingling’s Former Residence, Fuxing Park and Longhua Temple based on your interests, and they are all within walking distance.
