Enjoy a day in the real Andes. The Cotopaxi National Park is a stunning paramo area with beautiful elevations, lagoons and the most perfect conic shaped volcano in Ecuador. The Cotopaxi stands at an altitude of 5,897m. above the sea level. On a clear day, Cotopaxi is easy visible from Quito. The Cotopaxi National Park is located in the Cotopaxi province next to Latacunga city in the south of Ecuador. Its beautiful cone rises from a highland plain, with a width at its base of approx. 23 kilometers. It has one of the few equatorial glaciers in the world and the easy access make it a perfect destination for tourists.Early in the morning we depart to the Cotopaxi National Park from Quito. Its a 2-hour ride. You may want to stop on the way to have breakfast and then go on until you reach the park entrance. Once you pass through you'll arrive to the “Limpiopungo” lagoon and start hiking in the surroundings. The bike ride is about 1-hour and brings you into the beautiful paramo landscape. Before driving back to Quito you will stop for delicious local lunch (not included).
This is a private tour so if you would like to bike or hike more or skip one of the activities it's all possible.

7:00am: Pick up at hotel in Quito
8:30am: Breakfast at a local restaurant (not included)
10:00am: Begin hiking ascent
12:00pm: Begin biking descent
2:00pm: Lunch at local restaurant (not included)
4:30pm: Back in Quito
