After meeting your guide at your hotel lobby, your will first visit the Temple of heaven by taking the metro or bus (subject to your hotel location).

It is so much fun in the Temple of heaven in the morning as you can see many local retired folks doing morning exercises here. You can join any kinds of activities if you like. Meanwhile, you will get to know all the detailed stories and histories about this temple from your tour guide.

Then you will take a double-decker bus from the temple to the Tian'anmen Square (the World's largest public square). Walk through the Tian'anmen square towards to The Forbidden city (an UNESCO World Heritage Site). In fact, Beijing is dominated by this huge Imperial Palace from 1420 to 1912.

The common English name, "the Forbidden City", is a translation of the Chinese name Zijin Cheng. Zi means "Purple", refers to the North Star, was the realm of the Celestial Emperor and his family. As the residence of the terrestrial emperor, was its earthly counterpart. Jin, or "Forbidden", referred to the fact that no one could enter or leave the palace without the emperor's permission. Cheng means a city. Your guide will also introduce the history and interesting stories of each building here.

Exit the Forbidden city from the North Gate, then you will take a bus back to your hotel, or the place you wish to visit in the city.

After this tour, you will be able to travel around Beijing like a local by buses and metro, which is a very convenient and inexpensive way to explore the city. Guests are also encouraged to ask questions about touring other parts of the city, getting insider tips and visitor information along the way.

Here is a general schedule for the tour:
  • 8:30am - Guide meets you at your hotel to depart for the Temple of heaven
  • 9:00am to 10:30am - Take a tour of The Temple of heaven
  • 10:30am to 11:00am -Heading to the Tian'anmen square
  • 11:00am to 1:30pm - Tian'anmen square ,Forbidden city Tour
  • 1:30pm to 2:00pm - Return to your hotel in Beijing center or sites you want to go in city.
