The perfect tour for nature lovers, head outside Lisbon to enjoy a private bird watching morning. With several and often different species migrating to Portugal, every month brings a different surprise. Some of the species are resident and are often found in this natural resort and lagoons. Others, are migrating species that come in from both Northern Europe and the African Continent. Apart from a natural landscape of great beauty, you’ll enjoy a half day tour with a specialist guide offering you all the insights on bird watching. Start your morning off by being picked up at your hotel before driving toward the bird watching sanctuary, which is outside Lisbon (about 1h). You will take the highway to the sanctuary which is located along the river banks’ for a nice scenic view. Arrive at the sanctuary for your meet and greet with your bird guide before starting your 3 hour bird watching excursion with a bird watching specialist. Different species can be seen throughout the year according to migration routes - from Northern Europe to African species. Your guide will provide all the explanations necessary. Cannot book big groups so not to disrupt the birds' habitat. Once your experience concludes, head back to Lisbon and return to your hotel.
