Enjoy this 8-hour excursion on the least explored area of the Pokhara region to see beautiful unspoiled country side villages and a magnificent view of Annapurna and Fishtail Range. This trek also includes a boating experience in the pristine waters of Begnas Lake.
At 8:30 am, meet your guide in your hotel lobby to drive to Begnas Lake. Your private vehicle will drop you off at the trek starting point.
Your guide will take you to trekking route that leads to Kalikasthan village. It takes 45 minutes to reach to this small settlement located on a hill that overlooks the Annapurna ranges. Explore the unspoiled and less modern villages, compared to villages located on other trekking routes in the Annapurna region. Continue your walk to Thulkote, which translates to "big settlement" in Nepali. Thulkote offers excellent views of Annapurna range, Fishtail Mountain and aerial views of Pokhara valley, Phewa Lake and Begnas Lake. The trekking from Kalikastan to Thulokote is about an hour uphill climb.
After admiring the view, start your gentle downhill trek to Kaulekote village. This village offers unique living harmony between different caste and groups of Nepal. Continue your trek down to Begnas. The trekking time is about 3 hours from Thulokote. Spend your time at lake and take a boat ride to cross it. If you wish to have lunch, you can visit Begnas Lake Resort or other local restaurants that are available on route (at own expense).
At the completion of your excursion, you will be dropped back off at your hotel in Pokhara.
