This tour is for wildlife lovers, you will cross paths with wild spider monkeys, howler monkeys, countless birds, reptiles and superb fauna surrounding the reserve. Kayaks, zipline, cenotes, jungle trek, Mayan cleansing ceremonies, and vegan food are part of this day trip.
The tour starts with hotel pick up followed by a traditional taco breakfast. You will then be driven to Coba. You will have some time to explore this archaeological site with a guide, you will see the ceremonial ball court and even a newspaper stand, called "stelas".
After exploring Coba, you will stop for a local lunch which includes cochinita pibil, hand made tortillas and tamales.
After lunch you will head to the Otox Maáx Yetel natural protected park where you will be able to see a variety of wildlife. Monkeys are everywhere, hear them howl and watch them swinging on top of the canopy.
Since the reserve is still considered to be sacred, a Xamán will do a cleansing ritual before you enter. At the reserve you will be able to zipline and visit a cenote. After visiting the park, you will go to Enrique´s house, a humble eatery run by Enrique´s family, to enjoy a vegan Mayan meal.
Afterwards you will be driven back to your hotel.
