Meet your guide at your hotel lobby in Ahmedabad at 9:30am and leave to Gandhi Ashram located in the Sabarmati, a suburb of Ahmedabad. This was one of the residences of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, generally called Mahatma Gandhi, who lived there for about twelve years along with his wife, Kasturba Gandhi. Visit the Hutheesing Temple, the best known Jain temple in Ahmedabad which was constructed in 1848. The construction of the temple was initiated originally planned by Shet Hathisinh Kesarisinh, a wealthy Ahmedabad trader who died at 49, and later supervised and completed by his wife Shethani Harkunvar. The temple is dedicated to Dharmanatha, the fifteenth Jain Tirthankar.

Around 12:30pm, you will have a break for lunch. After lunch, around 1:30 pm you will visit The Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, built in 1573, one of the most famous mosques of Ahmedabad. As attested by the marble tablet fixed on the wall of the mosque, it was built by Sidi Saeed an Abyssinian in the retinue of Bilal Jhajar Khan, general in the army of the last Sultan Shams-ud-Din Muzaffar Shah III of the Gujarat Sultanate. You will visit Sarkhej Roza, a mosque and tomb complex located in the village of Makaraba, 7 km south-west of Ahmedabad. The complex is known as "Ahmedabad's Acropolis" due to 20th century architect Le Corbusier's famous comparison of this mosque's design to the Acropolis of Athens. You will see Jama Masjid, from the outside, also known as Jami or Jumma Mosque, the most splendid mosque of Ahmedabad, built in 1424 during the reign of Ahmed Shah I.

Visit the Adalaj Stepwell, a unique Hindu 'water building' in the village of Adalaj, close to Ahmedabad town in Gandhinagar district. The stepwell was built in 1499 by Muslim King Mohammed Begda for Queen Rani Roopba. The step well or 'Vav', as it is called in Gujarati, is intricately carved and is five stories deep. Such step wells were once integral to the semi-arid regions of Gujarat, as they provided water for drinking, washing and bathing. These wells were also venues for colorful festivals and sacred rituals. At the end of your journey around 5:30pm, sit back and relax on your drive back to your Hotel in Ahmedabad
