We do our best to follow times and routes that are designed to stay away from large groups of tourists so our guests can discover Koh Samui and its surroundings intimately at a relaxed and leisurely pace.Our driver and guide will meet you at your hotel at 9am. Our first destination is the very famous rock formation of Hin Ta and Hin Yai (Grandfather and Grandmother), located at the idyllic emerald sea. Our guide will explain the Thai legend of this extraordinary rock formation. After a short drive you will arrive to the mummified monk temple.
Next, a monkey show awaits you to discover how Samui trained monkeys harvest coconuts from the trees and then enjoy the fruits of their labor. With Koh Samui’s hot weather it is always refreshing to drink a young fresh coconut.
Then we will go for a jungle walk along a dense jungle path which leads to Namuang Waterfall. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful cascade and surroundings or swim in the natural pools.
After getting refresh in the waterfall you may go for optional Elephant Safari, trekking on the back of these majestic animals through beautiful jungle and next to the waterfalls is an unforgettable experience not to miss. You can also meet and feed the elephants, an amazing photo opportunity at Baan Chang safari park.
Next our local experienced driver will take you aboard 4x4 off road trucks to Samui mountain peaks throw tropical Asian jungles and highlands to see some of rural Thailand. Around noon if you like we will stop for optional Thai lunch so you can enjoy good Thai food at the mountain-top restaurant with views overlooking Samui surrounding islands.
After lunch we will stop at Samui Big Buddha on the mountain where you will be able to see around the standing Big Buddha the animals of the Chinese Zodiac Sign on a platform high in the hills and jungle of Koh Samui. You will surprised by the beauty, magic and peace of this remote place which serve as a meditation center for Samui's Buddhist monks.
We will stop at several view points for photo opportunities offering panoramic views of Ko Samui and neighboring islands and the mainland including the highest point on Samui at Yaod Khao. Then we will stop at Big Buddha located on a small rocky islet connected to Ko Samui by dirt causeway. As you will discover, by kutis, or meditation huts, Big Buddha invites a quiet consideration of this Buddha landmark is aptly nicknamed. Indeed, the enormous statue sitting at the top of 75 steps is 36 feet tall.
Our last destination is a remarkable temple, Wat Plai Laem. The temple main statue is of Guanyin, the goddess of compassion and mercy. Designed in the Chinese style, the striking figure sits on a platform surrounded by the temple lake and features 18 arms that fan out from the seated statue’s lap to above her elegant head. The temple is surrounded by a lake, which is teeming with fish. Visitors who make a small donation to the temple are given a bag of food to feed the fish.
