Day 1： Chengdu - Daocheng - Riwa (B)
You will be picked up and escorted to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport for your flight to Daocheng Yading Airport, the world's highest airport at almost 14,500 feet. You'll then be transferred to Daocheng County to the Riwa Township, now Shangri-La Town.
Along the way, you will see Haizi Mountain, the largest site of ancient ice on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, widely known as “the ancient ice cap of Daocheng”. Drive through the Red Grass, one of the most iconic Daocheng Yading attractions during Autumn. Afterward, check into your Riwa hotel, then explore the area on your own or rest and acclimate to the high altitude. Accommodation: Yading Zangyuan Hotel or similar.
Day 2： Riwa - Yading - Riwa (B)
Wake up early and transfer to the entrance of Yading National Park, then take the sightseeing bus to the Zhaguanbeng stop at Yading. You can ride a horse or the local Battery Car to Luorong Pasture, a natural pasture for the local cattle and horses. From Luorong Pasture, you can choose to ride a horse up to Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake or sightseeing, and then back. The riding fee is not included. Then, start your 3-mile hiking tour up to Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake. Here, you will take in breathtaking views of the three sacred peaks of Mt. Yangmaiyong, Mt. Xianuaduoji and Mt. Xiannairi. The ups-and-downs of the hiking tour will take approximately 6 to 7 hours. Return to Yading, and transfer back to Riwa. Accommodation: Yading Zangyuan Hotel or similar.
Day 3: Riwa - Yading - Daocheng (B)
You will start your day with a being transfer to Zhaguanbeng Stop to visit the Chonggu Temple. Hike approximately a mile to Pearl Lake to view the holy peak of Mt. Xiannairi. Then, transfer back to Daocheng county. Accommodation: Daocheng Paradise ECO Resort or similar.
Day 4: Daocheng - Chengdu (B)
Today is free time for you to explore the surroundings. Afterward, transfer back to Daocheng Yading airport for your flight to Chengdu.
