You'll enjoy the long way accrossing the Atlas Mountains and especially the small villages in the middle of the mountains, and the valleys famous for the kasbahs and ksours built in the XI century.Day 1 : Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Gorges
An early departure from the hotel or the riad, then direction towards the dades valley passing by the tichka pass (2260M). stop for photos. Continue the journey to visit the Glaoui Kasbah also called Glaoui Palace, this showpiece architecture of the region was constructed between 19th century and the 20th century. It was occupied by the well known Thami El Glaoui ; who was the governor of the south region during the 19th century. After that, you will continue towards the Ounila valley passing by the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah : UNESCO World Heritage, the oldest village of the region which was a cross-road for caravans that were doing business between Ouarzazate and Marrakech. Throughout this valley, you will discover the contrast of the clay ochre color and the green color of the plants. You will visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah and the journey continues towards Dades valley, via the Rose valley. Overnight in Hostel DAR ESSAYAHA with dinner.
Day 2 : Dades Gorges - Todra Gorges - Erg Chebbi Gorges
After breakfast in one of Dades’ hotels, the departure will be to one of the huge dunes of Merzouga, but before arriving, you will have another discovery passing by Tinghir Palm and Todra Gorges, with a stop for a small tour in this oasis. Then, road resumption to Erfoud, with a visit to the geological site to contemplate the fossils before to stop for lunch. Continue the way via a path that leads to Erg Chebbi Dunes, then Khamlia village, known by their nomad inhabitants who have developed the Gnaoui music which is originated from Africa, with a possibility - if time permits - to take a glass of tea with them. In the afternoon, you will have a camel ride to rejoin the dunes and to lodge the bivouac to attend the sunset. Dinner and night in a berber bivouac Merzouga experience camps surrounding fire and outdoors with Tam Tam music with nomads.
Day 3 : Erg Chebbi Dunes - Rissani - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Early wake up to attend the sun rise on a camel ride, then comeback to the transport to resume the road towards Marrakech via Rissani, Annif and stop for lunch at N’Kob. You will continue the road to Ouarzazate were numerous cinematographic studios production take place which make from this city the African cinematographic capital, also thanks to the natural landscape and its sunny and bright weather. After the visit of the studios, you will continue towards Marrakech via Tizi N Tichka.
