Day 1: Cancun - Chichen Itza - Merida (B) (L)
After breakfast, you will head to Chichen Itza, the most important aMayan site in Mexico. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the new 7 Wonders of the World, you will be able to explore this place. You will find advanced archaeoastronomic knowledge in this city as you visit its main landmarks with your guide. Visit the pyramid known as the "The Castle" or temple of Kukulcan , the largest ballgame court of the Mesoamerica, the skulls temple, the Jaguar’s temple and the Observatory. Then, head to the beautiful Cenote (sinkhole) of Ik-kil, where you will be able to swim in. You will then enjoy lunch and head to Merida where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Merida - Uxmal - Cancun (B) (L)
After breakfast, you will enjoy a city tour of Merida, known as "the white city". During the tour, you will enjoy a panoramic view of Montejo Avenue, the monument to Motherland, the Main Square, the Cathedral and Government Palace. You will then depart to Uxmal, “the three times built”, to see the place and learn all about the Guesser Pyramid, the Quadrangle of the Nuns, Governor’s Palace and the ballgame court. Then you will have lunch and head back to Cancun where your adventure ends.
