Recognize the buildings of revival styles of French inspiration of our architects who studied in Paris in a post industrial revolution period in which population growth has forced several improvements in the city including the development of trade and industry. Meet your guide at the São Bento railway station and go for a walk through the historic center heritage of UNESCO.

You will hear talk of how the old city was surrounded by a wall and contained inside several convents and monasteries with their cloisters and farmland and how, with the end of the Monarchy and extinction of the religious orders became mainly a market town where the Wine port was a major contributor to the growth.

Will realize as the convents and monasteries gave way to new buildings as the Bank of Portugal, São Bento Train Station, Hotel, Ferreira Borges Market and the Stock Exchange Palace

On the route you will find numerous other landmarks for which will also make a brief explanation of its position in the city's history

The end of the visit about 3:30 h occur in Avenida dos Aliados.
