The tour starts in front of the church of St. Gioachimo, a strategic spot to observe the Sixties’ skyscrapers (the first ever erected in Milan) located in Repubblica square, with a honorable mention for the Pirelli skyscraper, to this date the highest concrete skyscraper in the whole world.
The tour then proceeds with the first buildings of the Porta Nuova complex, the Diamond Tower and Solaria, to arrive to Gae Aulenti square, the symbolic heart of this new district, where the embrace of the skyscrapers contains a fascinating fountain, and the spire of the Unicredit palace stands as the highest building in Italy.
The tour then heads toward the Vertical Wood, buildings that have gathered several world-class awards in the years 2014 and 2015 for their unique architecture and technological solutions.
The tour finally ends at the new palace of the Lombardy Region, a skyscraper that hides a vast covered square at its base.
