Your Day in Plovdiv and Wine Tasting
Our tour will start from your hotel/accommodation in Sofia around 9am. In about 2 hours' drive we will reach the Old town of Plovdiv. Here we will spend 2 hours admiring the wonderful Revival houses of the richest people in Plovdiv from 19th century before we proceed to the Ancient theatre, located on one of the highest hills in the city.
After we visit the old town we will continue our tour to small typical Bulgarian restaurant on our way to the wine cell. You can have lunch there (optional). Around 3pm we will arrive at the “chateau”, where Bulgaria communist leader Todor Zhivkov had met one of his most important guests. We will learn the amazing history of the winery and after that will proceed with tasting 5 different kinds of the fantastic wine. Around 4:30pm we will start our journey back to Sofia with wonderful memories from the day.
