Join us on a day tour where you will explore the biggest visitor attraction in all of Croatia and experience the nature, geology, history, culture and music of the region as we travel together. You will be introduced to the hidden beauties of the area such as the beautiful village of Rastoke, and the mystical caves that take you back to the 7th century B.C. The highlight of the day will be Plitvice Lakes National Park, the biggest national park in these parts of Europe with its 16 cascading lakes and waterfalls.
This is how your day will look like:
08:00 am - Depart from Zagreb in your way to Plitvice National Park
10:00 am - Arrive at the beautiful village of Rastoke. At the point where river Slunjcica meets the river Korana, nature has created a magical place that is often refereed to as "an introduction to Plitvice Lakes". On the limestone rocks, next to the waterfalls of Buk, Hrvoje and Vilina kosa, find the mesmerizing village of Rastoke. The first houses were built 300 years ago, and the traditional wooden architecture combined with the waterfalls is a must see for everyone that comes to the area!
10:15 am - Continue your journey towards Baracev's caves.
11:00 - Arrive at the caves (entry fee included), and take a 1 hour guided tour of this mystical place. The caves contained artifacts from the 7th century B.C., and you will hear the legends that make this site really worth viewing.
12:30 pm - Continue your journey towards Plitvice.
12:45 pm - Stop for lunch at a local restaurant where you can enjoy the food, and ambient.
14:15 - Arrive at the park (entry fee included), and begin your journey through one of the most beautiful sites in Europe. Explore 16 cascading lakes, and waterfalls while you hear the history and folklore from our knowledgeable guides.
18:00 pm - Way back to Zagreb where you arrive at 20:30 pm (approx.)
