This 2-day farm adventure starts at 1pm when you arrive in Ulvsbomuren, an old forest farm from the 17th century, close to the small village of Ramnäs. Easy to access, it's less than a 1-hour drive by car from Västerås Airport, only 2 hours from Arlanda Airport, or by train to Ramnäs where a pickup can be arranged.
After settling in to your timber cottage, the 2-hour guided tour in the field awaits. You will have a picnic with coffee, tea, lemonade, and buns, and find a nice spot to sit down to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The sheep are very social animals and like to be cuddled. If you come in the early summer, the lambs are still quite small and love to play and chase each other.
After the guided tour, there will be some time to experience the forest and the wildlife by taking a walk on the marked hiking path that passes just outside the fence, or you can just relax on the large wooden deck with a beautiful view over the fields.
In the evening, a 3-course dinner is served with ingredients from the farm and the forest such as game, lamb, mushrooms, and wild berries, all locally produced, freshly harvested, and well prepared. After a good nights´ sleep and a breakfast, there will be time for some activities on your own like a forest walk or exploring the farm before departure. Check out is at 11am.
One extra day and night at Ulvsbomuren is optional and includes one lunch, a 3-course dinner and breakfast.
