Cruise with the unique skyline overview of Phnom Penh in the back, all the way from Wat Phnom Royal Palace to the Mekong. This 1.5-hour cruise will show you the bustling riverside from the Tonle Sap River to Mekong River from a quiet and breezy place.Pick up from your hotel in Phnom Penh and transfer to the boat pier to board your own traditional wooden boat. The boat will set sail around 4:30pm.
While sailing gently over the Chaktomuk River during this 1.5 hour dinner cruise, various important landmarks of Phnom Penh will pass by such as the Royal Palace, The National Museum, parks and the imminent skyline of Phnom Penh will pass by.
The Royal Palace is the official residence of the King and Queen of Cambodia, located near the banks of the Tonle Sap River. Most buildings inside the palace walls are closed to the public except on special occasions. The Palace is a magnificent example of Khmer architecture, although it was built as recently as 1866. Following is the National Museum, a distinguished looking red building, built in the shape of a Buddhist/Khmer style temple, situated at the northern gate of the Royal Palace, the museum is home to over 5000 artefacts, dating back as far back as the mighty Angkor Period.
Outside it’s beautifully lid skyline, you may catch a glimpse of one of the many open spaces and parks along the river banks, which the locals use for recreation and relaxation. These spaces tend to be thriving with activity in the late afternoon as hang-out spots and exercise area for local residents.
We return back to the boat pier at around 6pm and transfer you back to your hotel. During the cruise, a professional guide will accompany you and tell you all about Phnom Penh. A local coconut drink is included during this tour.
